NARRATIVES

On the 3rd September, I boarded the flight from Ahmedabad to Bagdogra via Delhi. It was a beautiful clear day, and after take-off, I could get glimpses of the faraway Himalayan range on the port side of the aircraft. After waiting for couple of our friends at airport we set off on an enchanting route flanked by tea gardens and quaint villages. Soon we crossed the Baikunthapur forest and a short ride later, we were in Gajoldoba.

Gajoldoba – the paradise for migratory waterfowl and other birds. It is known to be one of the best places to photograph ducks, geese and myriad other feathered species that arrives in droves during the Indian winters. Every season. Our staying was less than a kilometer from the boating area, and we arranged for an e-rickshaw for local commuting, also known as toto. we decided to take a stroll around teesta barrage and, near by there are water bodies which are part of river, local people goes for fishing there and that place is also hot spot for bird watching.
